🚨 Rogue and KOI Join Forces 🚨

We are joining forces with KOI, the electrifying Spanish esports organization founded by former LVP caster and Twitch star Ibai Llanos and professional footballer and founder of sports media investment firm Kosmos Gerard Piqué. The two dominant European orgs solidify the new venture to transcend local markets and build a global legacy in competitive esports and entertainment. Web Summit Lisbon 2022

POLITICO calls Web Summit “The world’s biggest technology event,” and iR co-founder and CEO John Acunto was invited to speak at this year’s extravaganza in Lisbon last week. With 70,000+ attendees, celebrities, CEOs, tech titans, and presentations covering all things Web3, VC, tech, and sustainability, #WebSummit2022 certainly lived up to its reputation! We’re delighted that John could represent Infinite Reality so well at what will surely be the first of many Web Summit appearances. Watch the full talk here.
 

Esports Business Summit 2022

Infinite Reality co-founders Elliott Jobe and Rodric David presented a Keynote at this year’s Esports Business Summit in Las Vegas last week to showcase the fascinating future of esports in a Web3 world. The audience was eager to understand how teams, fans, and sponsors will interact and engage in this immersive environment and the value of directly connecting communities, brands, and the content they love. Kudos to Elliott and Rodric for demystifying some of the misconceptions about the Metaverse and its commercial and social potential.

Rogue Takes On LoL Worlds 🌐🏆

A series of exciting wins saw Rogue advance to the League of Legends World Championship quarterfinals as the only Western team to make it out of the Worlds group stage. The winning streak came to a bittersweet end on October 20th, but what an accomplishment! Infinite Reality couldn’t be prouder of Rogue’s strong performance at Worlds, their LEC Championship, and their remarkable 2022 season! #gorogue 🏆

Ending the year on a high note, our team’s efforts have not gone unnoticed. Esports Awards released award finalists that include:

  • William “Spoit” Löfstedt for Esports PC Rookie of The Year
  • Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu for Esports PC Player of the Year
  • Kim “Malrang” Geun-seong for Esports Play of the Month
  • Ibai Llanos for Streamer of the Year

Investor Calls August / October 2022

John Acunto, Infinite Reality co-founder and CEO, hosted investor presentations for iR and ReKT shareholders in August and October. John and members of the executive team provided updates on the business and presented a roadmap for the exciting future of the newly combined companies. Kudos to the creative and broadcasting teams and the executives who traveled from across the country for the fantastic presentations. ReKT Deal Closes

Infinite Reality is thrilled to welcome our new team members from ReKTGlobal. It was an uphill battle at times, but the $470M acquisition formally closed just before the 4th of July long weekend. Kudos to both teams, and especially Eric Cohen, for working tirelessly to achieve this incredible result! 🥳🎊

Not only has the acquisition contributed to a significant valuation uplift, ReKT’s senior leadership team adds tremendous professional insight and experience, and the various businesses align strategically with Infinite Reality’s push to become the world leading Metaverse innovation and entertainment company.

iR Launches Global Metaverse Hub

As part of our European expansion plans, iR announced on July 1, 2022, a strategic relationship with the University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) to introduce a global, open Metaverse from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

“Infinite Reality has a bold vision for a future with an open Metaverse, and strong relationships with like-minded strategic partners in Luxembourg will be a key to our success. We have a shared interest in using digital innovation to enhance daily life and sustainable development, which we can do by transforming Metaverse creation and innovation in Europe,” says John Acunto, co-founder and CEO of Infinite Reality.

Jason Eustace / Hope Frank

iR warmly welcomes Jason Eustace and Hope Frank to the executive team! Jason Eustace stepped into the CFO role previously held by Display Social Co-Founder Scot Weisberg, who has transitioned to a non-executive role. The recently appointed Eustace is responsible for developing and managing financial strategy and the expansion of iR’s growing portfolio. He brings a strong ability to drive top-line growth and profitability, modernizing and revitalizing businesses, and launching effective digital marketing initiatives. Eustace has previously played key leadership roles for companies such as CuriosityStream, PetSmart, Discovery Communications, National Geographic Channel, and Real Networks. Hope Frank, joining as Chief Marketing Officer, is an award-winning futurist and 20-year tenured marketing executive who has led IPOs and strategic exits for some of the fastest-growing SaaS and cybersecurity technology companies in Silicon Valley. Most recently, she served as CMO for Labster, the world leader in virtual labs, STEM Metaverse, and interactive science education. In her new role, Frank will oversee planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the overall business marketing strategy for Infinite Reality.
 

Multimedia Storytelling: A Masterclass

In October, Infinite Reality executives Elliott JobeRodric David, and Helix Wolfson spoke to students from the USC School of Dramatic Arts about the future of content creation, distribution, and monetization and the cutting-edge tools redefining entertainment as we know it. Students and faculty experienced our state-of-the-art Extended Reality (XR) stage, enjoyed an open house tour of the studio, and learned more about creator technologies and tools in development. “I’ve heard rave reviews from several participants – I’m thrilled this went so well! I’ve also fielded requests to do more of this,” said USC School of Dramatic Arts Dean Emily Roxworthy. Please read a terrific wrap up of the successful event HERE.

ESPN’s Monday Night Football season kicked off with this amazing Black Adam movie trailer featuring Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack. The spot was created and filmed with ESPN Creative Works at the helm utilizing our XR Stage and virtual production services. ⚡️🏈Come behind the scenes with us to see how virtual production was applied and read more about the project in Adweek here.
 

Canelo vs GGG Live From Las Vegas

Viva Las Vegas! Our in-house mobile broadcasting team headed to Sin City and T-Mobile Arena for the Canelo vs GGG fight for client DAZN. There were plenty of celebrities, athletes, and CEOs in attendance, but the sight of special guest Michael B. Jordan definitely got some pulses racing! Our experienced team provided broadcast equipment rental and operation, prep and live activation of all graphics, content classification and live replays, translation service for interviews, and pre-show segments.

Rogue Dominates at Worlds 🌐🏆

3 – 0 LET’S GOOOOO! All eyes are on Rogue who kicked off #Worlds2022 on Saturday, October 8th at Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden as the #1 LEC seed. Viewership peaked on October 9th at 1.39M+ views, and the team sported a fresh addition of the iR logo on the Rogue jerseys. LoL Esports tweeted an Ibai sighting in the crowd cheering for Rogue, exemplifying the enthusiasm surrounding the recent KOI partnership announcement. 🏆 Rogue is On a Roll! 🏆

iR’s Rogue League of Legends team was officially crowned champions last weekend with a dominant win over G2 in the LEC Summer finals! This is Rogue’s first LEC title, and they hoisted the championship trophy in front of an ecstatic crowd at Malmö Arena in Sweden. The victory comes on the heels of iR’s Rogue Rainbow 6 Siege team claiming a massive victory over rivals FaZe Clan at the Six Berlin Major on August 21st. It was Rogue’s first Major victory in R6S esports, and the team secured a whopping $200,000 grand prize! The event is being considered one of the most entertaining Majors in Rainbow Six esports history concluding with a thrilling five-game grand final series. Rogue League of Legends team had already qualified for Worlds after a victory over MADLions in the LEC Summer Split playoffs, so we send huge congrats to the teams and their fearless leaders Anna Baumann, Tomislav Mihailov, and Michael O’Dell. We can’t wait to cheer them on as the LEC 1st Seed during Worlds at MSG in October! 👏🏆#Worlds2022
